Canada Day celebrations kick off at our Capital, Ottawa, at 9 a.m. with a flag-raising ceremony followed by changing the guards. The day usually ends with a concert and fireworks. The Canada Day celebration also includes picnics, barbeques, free events, and special citizenship ceremonies.

Toronto 

Commemorate Canada Day by attending the 65th year celebration of the longest-running event of its kind, where families from across the city come together.

The day begins with a long-running parade from Dieppe Park. This will be followed by leading stage entertainment, a midway, activities to enjoy with your kids, an artisan market and food vendors at the Stan Wadlow Park. That's not it. Muddy York Brewery will also host a Beer garden along with wine and cider. The day ends with a firework show by the City of Toronto.

Mississauga 

Join the city of Mississauga to celebrate Canada Day with live entertainment and food trucks. Then, visit the food trucks to savour our traditional Canadian dishes and end the evening with a spectacular firework finale!

Burlington 

The Canada Day celebration in Burlington is recognized by Festival & Events Ontario as the "Top 100" event. Enjoy Canadian-inspired activities and entertainment all day. The events encompass Yoga & Canada Day Run in the morning and food with joy in the evening. Closing fireworks included.

Scarborough

The day begins at the Thomas Memorial Park with pancake breakfast, followed by an afternoon of family-friendly activities. Musicians and buskers will be performing at the event. The kids will have a blast with face painting and inflatable castles. A barbeque lunch will also be held. 

If that was not enough, the spectacular Scarborough Canada Day parade is returning this year. The parade will start at 4 p.m. from the Scarborough Civic Centre, 150 Borough Dr., head west to Brimley Road and then south to Thomas Park, where it will end at about 7 p.m., Followed by fireworks.
