Are you eager to welcome Spring? Mountsberg Conservation Area's Maple Town event is the best way to do it!

Just a short 30 minutes from Oakville, Burlington, and the Waterloo Region, Mountsberg Maple Town is a fun day trip that will reward you with sweet treats and great memories!

From now until April 2nd, Mountsberg celebrates all things maple! This working sugar bush has been making maple syrup for 150 years and is open to the public weekends, holidays, and all March break from 10am to 4pm. Come to Maple Town to learn how the watery sap from over 600 trees is transformed into sweet and sticky maple syrup!

Take a closer look when you join a guided wagon ride through the sugar bush or learn how maple candies are made at the Sugar Shanty and enjoy some free samples! When you are hungry, head to the Pancake House for a hot pancake meal served with delicious fresh maple syrup.

Mountsberg also has a Raptor Centre where visitors can learn all about these fascinating birds. Weather permitting, visitors can watch the birds of prey show in the outdoor theatre. Additionally, visitors can stroll along the Wildlife Walkway to view other amazing creatures like the bison, eagle, and hawk.

Help your kids burn off any extra energy before the ride home at the Play Barn. Your kids will have tons of fun in this indoor playground with ropes, slides, hay bales, and even some barn animals to pet! When you are ready to leave, be sure to stop in to the Mountsberg Gift Shop. There is something for everyone here with sweet treats, teas, cookbooks, toys, games, and puzzles.

It's important to dress appropriately when visiting Maple Town. The weather can be unpredictable; so, dress in warm layers. Make sure to wear your boots as Spring is a messy season and the trails will get muddy. And remember, admission to Maple Town is free with your Mountsberg Conservation park fee; so, relax and enjoy everything there is to see.
