Midtown

As one of the city’s most walkable neighbourhoods, Midtown and Davisville show there’s always things to do in Toronto this summer. With communities in the heart of Midtown including 100 Roehampton Ave, 221 and 265 Balliol St, 100 Spadina Rd, and our upcoming brand-new community, Everworth 235 Balliol, you’re always close to the action. 1. Arraiá on Yonge – June 20

Arraiá on Yonge is a vibrant street festival that celebrates Brazilian culture in the heart of Midtown Toronto. The event transforms Yonge Street into a lively gathering filled with music, food, cultural experiences, and local vendors highlighting the diversity that makes Midtown such a special neighbourhood.

2. Salsa on St Clair – July 11 – 12

Spice up your weekend with TD Salsa on St. Clair – another great free summer event in Toronto. Communities connect through music, dance, food, and art to celebrates the richness of the Latino culture. Bring your tastebuds and dancing shoes!

3. Yonge & Eglinton Centre Outdoor Plaza – August 29

The corner of one of the busiest intersections of Midtown becomes an outdoor market space! Listen to live music, shop the stalls of vendors and artisans, or sample some gourmet treats. Stop by and celebrate one of the last weekends of summer in style at Yonge and Eg.

4. Davisville Farmers’ Market – Tuesdays, 2:00 – 7:00 until October

Fresh produce abounds at Davisville’s weekly farmers’ market. Held every Tuesday in June Rowlands Park, bring local fruit and veg straight from the farm to your table. Nothing beats Ontario field tomatoes, so keep your eyes open for these gems to start appearing at stalls towards the end of July/early August.

Scarborough

With several communities within Scarborough including Everworth 3030 Pharmacy, we appreciate and celebrate how active this Toronto neighbourhood can be. A community rich in culture, here are our top family friendly events in Scarborough this summer:

1. Taste of Lawrence – July 3-5

Spanning Lawrence Ave between Warden Ave and Birchmount Rd, the Taste of Lawrence is now in its 22nd year and is Scarborough’s largest street festival featuring international food, music, and culture.

2. Scarborough Ribfest – July 31 – August 4

This Long-running festival attracts thousands each year with live music, midway rides, family activities, and award-winning rib teams. This is one of the most celebrated summer events in Scarborough! Be sure to bring your appetite!

3. Afro Carib Fest – August 22-23

In its 15th year, this major Toronto summer event is a celebration of the culture and diversity of Afro-Caribbean communities and beyond, showcasing cultural heritage through art, music, dance, and food.

Etobicoke

1. Mimico Arts Jam – June 20

In its inaugural outing, the Mimico Arts Jam is taking over Amos Waites Park and is certain to be one of the best things to do in Toronto this summer. With free art activities for all ages, and live performances, come create summer memories among talented local artists.

2. Canada Day Fireworks in Centennial Park – July 1

An annual tradition, join neighbours and visitors for Etobicoke’s marquis free Canada Day fireworks display. This is ranked among Toronto’s best parks to go for a picnic, so get cozy and celebrate our nation among members of this great community. The fireworks will begin at 10:00 p.m.

3. Humber Bay Shores Waterfront Festival – August 8

Enjoy life by the water filled with live music, local vendors, and delicious food. Fun for the whole family, explore the kids’ area, try some of the best food trucks in Toronto, and savour the stunning views of Lake Ontario.

Church-Wellesley Village

Known affectionately as The Village, the Church Wellesley Village is one of the Toronto’s most vibrant communities. With four buildings within this colourful community (66 Isabella St, 20 Carlton St, 25 Wood St, and 550 Jarvis St), this neighbourhood is the home for Toronto summer events!

1. Pride – June (Parade, June 28)

The biggest festivals happening in downtown Toronto this summer is Pride Toronto – internationally recognized as the most welcoming, accepting and joyful celebrations of individuality in the world. Come as you are and celebrate in a month-long party culminating in the annual Toronto Pride Parade on June 28.

2. Green Space Festival – June 24 -28

A party within the party, the Green Space Festival hosts the best outdoor parties of the summer in Toronto. Featuring world-class music producers, and extraordinary performers, the festival is a fundraiser for The 519 and the year-round programs it provides to 2SLGBTQ+ communities in Toronto and beyond.

3. Experience the Village – June 19 – August 21

In a novel pedestrianization pilot project, a stretch of Church Street from Wellesley Street to Alexander Street will be closed to through vehicles. The stretch will be taken over by street furniture, live events, local markets, and the joyful street life that has made this area a cultural icon.
