Regular maintenance is the key to making sure our residents feel comfortable and safe in their home.

At Park Property Management we have a friendly and professional team ready to help. By working together, we can stop small issues from becoming big problems.

Preventive Maintenance is something every renter can do themselves. Start with regular inspections throughout your apartment. These inspections can be done anytime but should at least be done quarterly. Walk through your apartment and pay attention to the following areas:

  • Kitchen appliances
  • Plumbing
  • Windows
  • Floors
  • Light fixtures
  • Electric outlets

If you notice any major issues with any of the above areas submit a maintenance request right away.  For very urgent issues, contact your superintendent directly.

Reduce the chance of appliance breakdowns by frequently cleaning the units inside and out. Routinely vacuum your fridge coils (located either on the back of the fridge or the bottom), check the seals, and remove any dirt from under the unit. Always clean up spills and splatters on the stove top or in the oven by using a non-abrasive cleaner and a sponge so you don't create scratches.

Keeping your drains from clogging and your pipes from leaking starts with what you allow to go in them. Avoid letting grease, food, hair, and other objects go down the drain. In the kitchen, you can purchase a drain screen that can sit in your drain like a plug and prevent any debris from entering.

Park Property Management will repair appliances, window seals, plumbing issues, and any other major repairs; however, you can fix the following without a maintenance request:

  1. Slow drains
  2. Clogged toilets
  3. Scrapes on the wall or minor holes from nails or screws
  4. Dirty range vent filters
  5. Broken cabinet knobs, hinges, or handles

Remember not to take on any repairs that may be above your skill level. Always take safety precautions, and submit a maintenance request as soon as you notice an issue.
