Best Natural Feature: Scarborough Bluffs

The bluffs are world renowned for their 15km stretch along the shores of Lake Ontario. They offer spectacular views of Lake Ontario and have given some great insight into the last stages of the Great Ice Age from their fossil sediments. Visit Scarborough Bluffs park or walk the 5km Scarborough Bluffs trail.

Getting around Scarborough is simple with its extensive public transportation system and easy access to highways. 

 

There are multiple rapid transit (subway) stations: 

Victoria Park, Scarborough Centre Station, Warden and Kennedy.  

The Scarborough RT runs North and East toward Scarborough City Centre.

There are many bus routes within the city.

The wife of the first lieutenant governor of Upper Canada, Elizabeth Simcoe, felt that the Scarborough Bluffs reminded her of the limestone cliffs in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England.
