Park Property Management knows that all school and no play makes it hard to focus.

We have some great ideas to keep you entertained while you enjoy your study breaks.

Experience Great Music

Here in Waterloo, there are some fantastic venues featuring amazing musicians. Whether you attend Wilfrid Laurier or the University of Waterloo, Maxwell's on University Avenue is the place to go for live music. They have great local talent and concerts featuring famous names like Kim Mitchel and Matt Mays. Or head to Downtown Kitchener's Ribfest & Craft Beer Show July 20 to 22nd. Enjoy live music, mouth-watering ribs, and craft-brewed beer!

Fun Under the Sun

Laurel Creek Conservation Area is the perfect place to spend your days off in the summer. Just a short drive from our Parkside buildings, Laurel Creek offers a beautiful sandy beach, great nature trails, and canoe rentals. Or, unplug for the night and book a campsite with friends to unwind from studying. Waterloo Public Square also hosts a community campfire with live music and free s'mores on July 18th and August 15th. Head down with your friends and enjoy a fun night out under the stars.

Escape an Escape Room

Need a break from studying, but want to keep your mind sharp? Grab some friends and head to Adventure Rooms Canada in Kitchener, conveniently close to all of our Waterloo and Kitchener buildings. These escape room challenges are an hour long and vary in difficulty, making this attraction the perfect way to keep an active mind while you have some fun.

Stay in Shape all Summer Long

Both the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier have amazing fitness and recreation centres right on campus. Take a study break and check out one of the drop-in sessions available including fitness, yoga, aquatics, and dance. For unlimited access to The University of Waterloo's drop-in sessions, purchase a Shoe Tag online or at the Athletics Office. A Laurier OneCard grants you access to all Wilfried Laurier drop in sessions and activities.

Park Property Management hopes all of our Kitchener and Waterloo student residents squeeze lots of fun into their summer!
